Happy New Year

We enjoyed a pizza and refreshments with Steve and Suki tonight at Old Chicago, and now i just watched Dick Clark welcome in the New Year. Have to give him credit for not being afraid to let himself be seen and heard on television.

It's been an amazingly fast year.. Joe is at UNO this year and much happier than he was last year. He lives in a house with two brothers (actually they are cousins of uncle winfred's..the oderisio's), does his own laundry and cooking..comes to see us about once a week..sometimes he stays the night or if it's a weekend, he might stay a couple of nights...but then he gets tired of us and he leaves again. It actually works out pretty great.. He's really interested in the real estate class he took and intends to take another one next semester. Maybe he'll become a land baron! Right after this picture was taken he whacked himself in the lip with a handball racquet and had to have 5 stitches...the first one's he's ever had, remarkably enough.

John is still at the Department of Roads, wishing we'd win the lottery so he could retire! I've had an incredibly busy year at work...our business just exploded this year and every job that ever got postponed seemed to come in this year. I was still interviewing and hiring in November and December, and actually have three new people starting to work on January 3 when we go back after the holidays.

We watched the Alamo Bowl with Stamps...whatta game, huh! Glad people will have something positive to chew on all winter long now...Go Big Red!
