Margery is having a Birthday!

We're planning a 90th Birthday Party for Grandma on Sunday, February 19 at the Lutheran Church in Gretna.

While we know not everyone can come, we want to extend an invitation to all the readers of this blog to come and help us celebrate! Grandma doesn't want a lot of fuss, but what's reaching your 90th Birthday without a little party!!  We hope to see you on the 19th...

buenos noches de hastings

meh, not much to write.  just a quick update to everyone on what is going on...i have decided that paralegal studies is NOT for me...unfortunately, SOMEBODY in my family will NOT take the hint that i do NOT want to do that for a career.  she STILL has pushed me into legal research *rolls eyes*  luckily for me, i have resisted and have REFUSED to do it!  coursework was not as much fun as i anticipated...boring...no thanks.  as much as i LOVE law, i'm NOT doing the research!  started a new semester today...coursework will be interesting.  we'lls see if graphic arts is what i want to do or not!  i'm thinking more along the lines of multimedia/web page design.  you know, EVERYTHING is moving towards the internet, and with that said, surely more jobs will open up in the future (i hope)...

working at wally world full time.  security was not the right fit for me, but i moved over to the photo lab.  i LOVE it over in the photo lab MUCH better than i did security.  LOT less stress AND it's a routine that i can do everyday, yet change it up when necessary.  i get to make faux canvases (LOVE doing those) and they are VERY pretty!  i'll have to make one for you all sometime to show you what they look like :-).  the pay sucks, but i'm just glad to FINALLY have a job that i like for now.  being an avid photographer (when time) also gives me a passion for what i do!

i just hope that i can figure out what i want to do in life, and rather quick.  i'm 27, and i'm ready to settle down.  i'm ready to have a career and make something out of my life.  i'll just be screwed if graphic arts isn't what i want to do.  *sighs*  but the thing is this: i'm VERY right brained...autistics are known to be VERY left brained.  ironically, you can tell me to draw a leprechaun from scratch and i'll suck at it.  but give me an example to go off of, and i can REALLY do it to the T, if not BETTER!  i mean, that's just how i am.  i LOVE being VERY creative, thinking outside the box AND best of all, artistic!  yes, i suck at art, buuuut i'm good with music!  all of which are RIGHT brained activities!  so we'll see after the next month or so if graphic arts is what i'll still want to do.

hmm, 12:16 am...i better get off of here and get ready for bed i suppose hmm?  well let's see...bed or blog...bed or blog...bed or blog....umm yeah, i think blog is the answer ;).  lol!!!!  no, but i am getting tired and that's the nice thing.  so i think i should head to bed and get some shut eye.  night all!  erm, i mean morning all! :-)

Happy Holidays from the Stamps

Holiday greetings!
It’s so true what they say…the older you get, time flies by too fast. Here are just a few highlights of a great past year. We hope yours was just as wonderful.

In May, Niki and I visited Cassidy in the Big Apple. It was great eating, shopping, sightseeing and so exciting to see her so busy, happy and healthy. She still enjoys her job in the financial world, her apartment in West Village and has adjusted remarkably to big city life. Amazing.

Niki is still with HDR and traveling a bit more. She continues with her love of running, but we know she’s staying in top shape only to keep up with the boys. In July, our twin grandsons, Sam and Luke, celebrated their first birthday. Fun.In November, the Wise family got together in Las Vegas. A wonderful time was had with my mother, brothers and sister and many loved ones. It was a costly reunion …if you know what I mean. Loser.Steve continues to spend his time at KETV and with his cows, and I have taken on a few enjoyable hours a week with the Home Instead program. I took an amazing trip with a friend to Maine/Cape Cod in October. I do love the ocean, lobsters and whales. But, we mostly enjoy spending time with the little boys who bring us such joy and constant entertainment. Blessed. We wish you all a blessed, safe, happy and healthy 2012.
