Hot Springs, Arkansas by Suki

Hi to all!I wanted to share some pictures of my trip last week when I accompanied Steve to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Although the weather was unseasonably cool for two of the four days, I managed to find plenty to do. The purpose of the visit was for Steve to film some footage of their big season finale, the Arkansas Derby. Before this main event, I found time to shop at the many unique stops on the "strip", visit one of the nine historical bath houses (very interesting), gawk on top of the Ouachita mountains, retrieve fresh spring water from the five free water stations, enjoy reserved box seats 10 boxes down from Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, watch possibly the next Kentucky Derby winner "Curlin" cruise to a 10 1/2 length victory, sample the many fine restaurants and hob-knob with the local celebrities at post derby parties, jazz brunch at the Arlington Hotel and make a quick stop to see the William J. Clinton Library before we hopped on a plane. Whew!

Also, looks like Sue and I are going to pass on the Football 101 this year. We still have great memories of last year's event. (I'm sure you know if you click on a picture, it was blow up quite large). Have fun in Lincoln, ladies!

Keeley's First Car... Sue

Isn't this cute... Keeley was in need of a car and we had one too many so we all made a deal. She and Cleone are getting ready to drive it home for the first time.

Moving to Lincoln (Kelly)

Hi all,
Here's the big news in my life...my boyfriend, Paul, who some of you might remember from the family picnic, got a promotion and offer to move to Lincoln which he just snatched right up. We were out house hunting for him on Easter weekend and found this house which he then put an offer on and bought on Saturday. I am currently applying for my Nebraska pharmacy license and jobs in the area and plan to move out in June sometime (assuming all goes well on the job front). Unfortunately, Hy-vee does not have any openings in Lincoln so I will not be able to stay with them. I am really liking my current job in Ankeny, IA so I am a little sad about that but life goes on. I have a few good leads on jobs in Lincoln and am very excited for the move. From what everyone says it's a great town and we're really going to like it there. We enjoyed our visit this last weekend eating out at both Lazlos and Buzzard Billy's downtown in the Haymarket. Debbie, you'll have to let me know about some other great Lincoln restaurants/fun places to go.
The house is in Southeast Lincoln (near 56th and Pine Lake) for those of you who are curious. It's new construction and they will be putting in sod and sprinklers before we move in which should spruce it up quite a bit.
That's all the news from here.
Love,
Kelly
