Fun in Florida

I'm on a roll!

Since it has been awhile since our last posting and we rarely have anything new to share, I will share this. Marty planned a family vacation for us in July to Marco Island, Florida (off the Gulf of Mexico, southwestern tip). It was an amazing week filled with rest and relaxation. The house rental was beyond my wildest expectations. Each day was a different sight to see. The girls and I were in constant awe of our prestine surroundings, food, tours, and shopping.

Interesting enough, during the peak season this six-mile island has over 55,000 people. During the off-peak season, only 15,000. You can imagine the red carpet treatment tourists receive during the summer months. It was nice to have experienced a little of that ourselves.

The picture of Marty and Shaylee was taken during sunset at South Beach. The other picture was taken in the everglades by our air-boat driver and tour guide. Additional highlights was a sunset sail with champagne (sodas for the girls) and shrimp cocktail while viewing dolphins and sting-ray. In the everglades, Manatees are a rare sight to see. We managed to see a momma and her calf. Was awesome to experience them amongst alligaters.

Oops my time is drawing near. Maria needs the computer and is reminding me with her frequent sighing.

Take care everyone!

God bless,

Gigi

Family Fun

Hello,

Ask and you shall receive. At Suki's request, attached is a picture of the handsome host and beautiful hostess.

What a glorious day to hold the annual Bull Family Picnic. Please accept our thanks too, Theresa and Bill, for the fun-filled afternoon. Uncle Ervin and Aunt Marianne were gracious to open their home and garden. Perfect day, perfect setting, good food, great company. Does it get any better?

While Marty and I are looking forward to hosting next year's picnic, we don't guarantee the weather will be as beautiful, the games as fun, or the meat as tender. The Johnson hospitality is a hard act to follow.

Speaking of next year, Erika received her letter of admission from UNL yesterday. Wow, it is hard for us to believe we have a senior this year until we receive reminders like that in addition to senior pictures, cap and gown orders, etc. Erika is excited too for the Rose Bowl Parade. Millard West High School has been working hard in preparation for that honorable event. What a fun and exciting year for her.

Yesterday proved to be a Maria moment too. She scored the winning point in volleyball! Didn't even consider choking under pressure. What a delight to see her score seven points in her continuous serves. Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Suki, I believe she is now confident enough for spectators. Will definitely let you in on her tournament schedule.

Today Marty and I accompanied Shaylee to her Daisy field trip at American Legacy (near Fort Calhoun). What a fun place for horse lovers. She rode, she led, and petted many horses. A sigh of relief came to her discovery that poop scooping was not on the itinerary. Her troop picked a picture perfect day for this event.

Wishing you all good week.

Lovingly,

Gigi
