Let's Close out Vancouver 2010 - Cassidy

Hi everyone!

Mary Jo, you will be in our prayers for a successful upcoming surgery and we know you'll be up and about in no time. Great news about Suzanne's apartment, too. If there's anything in particular she needs, let us know.

Steve and I are very excited about all the baby news. Looks like Marian and WJ will welcome three new great-grandsons within weeks of each other. It's wonderful to see Niki looking and feeling so good. We pray all goes well.

I thought we should close out Cassidy's trip to Vancouver by adding some fun pictures she took. She had many celebrity photo ops come her way. She had a blast, didn't spend too much and returned safely. They're in no particular order. Love to all.

From Mary Jo just back from the surgical consult

Dear Family,
Well, I am feeling a bit more hopeful tonight. Paul and I spent the day in Omaha at the Med Center for a consult with the gyn/oncologist/surgeon. She was confident enough to tell me she fully expects to get all the cancer with a hysterectomy. She said I did all the right things by coming in as soon as I noticed symptoms and that this is the "best" kind of gyn cancer to have. She assured me I would be a good candidate for the robotic surgery (5 little slits, minimal bleeding, and probable discharge from the hospital the following day). The only problem is the robot isn't available for a morning procedure for this surgeon until April 27. I asked if I was endangering my health by waiting. She said absolutely not. So, I am scheduled and now I'm going to try to relax and enjoy the next couple of weeks. Suzanne is moving into an apt here in town so now I'll be able to help her finish the job. The drive home was beautiful today. The sky, sunlight, clouds, and a gentle green "blush" over the countryside all declared "spring is here", so welcome after the long winter.
