Greetings all,
I have OFFICIALLY graduated from school! I graduated on Sunday, May 18th, and it was an absolute BEAUTIFUL day. I didn't get any pictures of what the campus looked like in Crete, but it was beautiful!!!!! There were 450 graduates in all. But that included the Masters degree candidates. Most of them were Education candidates that received their diploma. There were masters in counseling, masters in education and masters in management that received diplomas along with us undergraduates.
But I'm officially graduated!!!! I'm sooooo excited. So what's next for me? Well, right now I think that I'll head back to HRC and work part time there and save up some money. I'll then ATTEMPT to go to graduate school this fall in Counseling. Randy, my adviser said that it's pretty pointless to get a masters in criminal justice unless I want to teach it. So he advised me to take the counseling route. I do counsel people now, but I don't want to be a counselor. So we'll see. But if I do go back to graduate school this fall, I have settled on going back to Doane College because they have an outstanding program AND I don't have to take the GRE exam--which I just found out was a killer exam from a friend who took it.
I celebrated my graduation by going to the WWE PPV Judgment Day in Omaha at the Qwest Center. Grandma and mom and me went to Korea King in Omaha. However, Grandma suggested I lock my doors and I LOCKED my keys in the car!!!!! It didn't ding because the key was out of the ignition far enough not to ding!!!! Grrr...so I had to call triple A and they took over an hour to get to me!!!!! Man sakes alive, I was late to my PPV and missed 2-3 matches...2 of which I wanted to see. *sighs*. But I did get a PPV t-shirt and a program as a souvenir. As soon as the DVD releases, I will be buying the DVD also. But I did get to see my favorite wrestler (the Undertaker) wrestle!!!!! I was so thrilled to watch him.
Umm, I forgot to mention that I ended up being the outstanding graduate in the Liberal Arts major. I got to wear a medal at graduation and I have it now. So I'm very excited. My GPA was a 3.89. Man, that's the best I'll ever do!!!!! Grad school will probably be a 3.0 the whole way through. But what can I say? Oh and the blasted economics course I had to take when I was in college, I got a B+ on the course!!!! It's way better than a D+ from CCC!!!!!
Well, I don't know what else there is to write about. Umm, grad school--check, me graduating--check, outstanding graduate--check. Yeppers, that's all there is to post. So I will end it here. I will talk to everyone later!!!!
Suz
