Yes, we all enjoyed the family picnic....good food, good company, great hosts, beautiful weather.... what more could we ask for! And we and the Stamps enjoyed our 2nd annual trip to Duncan, NE for Ribfest...any traveling with John and Steve is usually an adventure, and this time it was even more so, as Suki talked about in her post...
Just had to share and preserve the news of Joe's recent Hole in One! He and three friends played Sunday at Eagle Hills in Papillion. On the 12th hole, a distance of 173 yards, Joe hit the ball with an 8-iron and they heard it hit the pin. When he got to the hole, there it was in the cup! He tells me he "dunked" it... it landed straight in the cup rather than rolling in. Guys don't take very good documentation pictures....I'd have taken one with him smiling and holding the ball...; but maybe this is even more authentic...at least we have this much and he got his name in the World Herald today, so that's his few minutes claim to fame!
I must get to my Shamrock Lawns book work. Today he received a check for over $300 that some guy (who owns his own Financial Consulting Co.) owed him from LAST summer, along with enough to pay him to start mowing again for the rest of this summer! We had sent the guy numerous 'collection letters', all to no avail, until he apparently couldn't find anyone else to do it and came crawling back. Justice is served! So I need to get it in the bank quickly!
See you all on the 17th for Renee's shower.Looking forward to Saturday morning brunch!
