Greetings from Mary Jo

Happy New Year to all. We went out New Year's Eve with some long-time friends (gathered at one of the couple's home) and 4 out of the 10 of us had some kind of cold-flu, etc. so we declared 10:30 to be the New Year, toasted it with a glass of wine, and headed home early!! I'm afraid we're at "that age". I am at the head of the Baby Boomer generation, so you can figure out what scary birthday I'll be celebrating this summer....

I hope you all had a good Christmas. Andrew came home Christmas Eve and worked through Christmas Day and a little bit the next morning to install a new "point of use" (tankless) hot water heater for us. He also replaced all of our water supply pipe in the basement. It works great, and we're thankful. Not your traditional Family Christmas, but he always did need a project!

Sue hosted the family Christmas dinner on the Tuesday following Christmas and Nancy came to visit us on Wednesday while Stan was at a Basketball Tournament here in Hastings, so I've had a little "fix" of family news.

  1. If this worked, Sue, let me know. When I went to preview what I wrote, it wouldn't let me out!! Then, I gave up and hit "publish" and the internet icon kept grinding away and never did publish. So, I went back to home page and found the post for this date, hit publish again and it went. I am highly motivated to make this work, but ye gads, it's frustrating. Thanks for holding my hand through it........Mary Jo
